Linda Purcell entered the real estate profession in 1981 when interest rates were at an all time high of 18 – 20%.  Through hard work and dedication, she rose to the top of the ranks, becoming the #1 agent in Georgia for ERA in 1984 & in the top 25 in the United States for ERA in 1985.

A Million Dollar Producer since 1983, she joined RE/MAX in March of 1989.  That year she was named the New Sales Associate of the Year for RE/MAX of Georgia.  She has been RE/Max’s Top Producer in 1991, 1992, 1994, and 1995.  In 1994, she was awarded the RE/MAX Platinum Club Award – one of 832 agents out of more than 42,000 to achieve this prestigious honor.  In 1995, she was named to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame – one of 400 agents that year out of more than 42, 000 to achieve RE/Max’s highest level of accomplishment.  In 2002, she received the Silver Phoenix Award for 20 consecutive years in the Million Dollar Club.

Joe Purcell, a native Athenian, is a graduate of Athens Academy and the University of Georgia, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics in 1990.  That year he joined Champs Sports, Inc. as a salesperson and quickly rose through the ranks as both an  Assistant Manager and Manager of his own store in Atlanta.

In September 1995, Joe received his real estate license and joined RE/MAX.  In 1996, he was the only new REALTOR in the profession to make the Athens Board of REALTORS Million Dollar Club in his first year in the business.  Joe has been a member of the Athens Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club since 1996 and achieved his life membership in 1998.

Joe served on the Athens Board of REALTORS Public Relations Committee and chaired the Home Builders Liaison Committee.  Believing that it is important to give back to the community, Joe has served as Chairman for Friends of Scouting, is on the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America, is a member of the Touchdown Club of Athens and Ducks Unlimited, and is the former Vice President and President of the Kingswood Association.

Joe has attained the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation and was the second REALTOR in Athens to receive the prestigious Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) designation, as well as the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation.

Most recently, Joe has received his broker’s license and is currently serving as an associate broker at Re/Max Associates-Athens, Inc.
